Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle has lamented on the late arrival of some of her players ahead of their all important 2024 WAFCON qualifier against Rwanda.
The Ghana senior women national team had a short preparations towards the game coming up and arrived in Kigali on Sunday in order to acclimatize quickly and get ready for the epic clash.
The last time the Queens grouped together was against Guinea in the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers where they edged them with a 7-0 on aggregate victory to cruise into next round; claiming a 3-0 win in Conakry before winning 4-0 in the return fixture in Accra.
Nora Hauptle has been really impressive since taking over the job, having won all five matches played so far, with the team scoring 14 goals and conceded none within the process.
In a pre-match interview, tbe Swiss coach revealed she's had her full squad for only a training session which was yesterday and that's because some of her players did arrive early from their respective clubs.
"We had a short preparations before travelling to Kigali. Some of the players played during the weekend and arrived today so we trained yesterday with half of the squad."
"But today, we had the full squad for the final session. It was bringing the focus on tactical options and getting use to the astro turf. It's a big game."
"We always play on grass but we like it because we are a possessive team and want to dominate the game always so when the ball is rolling quick, we like it", she concluded.
The game is scheduled for 15:00GMT on Wednesday September 20, at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
