The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that fixtures for the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season will be released on Wednesday, September 3, with the full calendar to be made available on the GFA’s website and social media platforms.

A total of 180 matches will be scheduled, with each of the 20 competing sides playing 18 games across the campaign. The season will kick off between October 31 and November 3 and run through to the final weekend of April 24–27, 2026.

The league will once again be split into two zones of 10 clubs each. Defending champions Police Ladies will begin their title defence against a chasing pack that includes Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the former champions seeking to reclaim their dominance after falling short last term.

The new season also ushers in four promoted sides — Northern City Ladies and Ashtown Ladies in the Northern Zone, alongside Oak Ladies and Samartex Ladies in the South. Their arrival is expected to bring fresh rivalries and an extra edge to Ghana’s top flight.

With a growing competitive balance and rising profile, the Women’s Premier League promises another season of high drama and quality football across the country.
