Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has included Olympique Lyon midfielder Ernest Nuamah in his squad for the double header against Sudan next week in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 21-year-old missed out in the last international window due to injury but has returned fully looking very poised having debuted against Mali in June in the World Cup qualifiers.
The squad which was just announced featured captain Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Kudus Mohammed, Abdul Mumin, Alidu Seidu, inform Mohammed Salisu and more.
However, Alexander Djiku, who also missed out the last time because a knock has returned so as Ernest Nuamah and are expected to help the team find their rhythm.
The Black Stars haven't really had a good start to the qualifiers having picked just a point from their opening two matches and will hope to redeem themselves and enhance their qualification chances this time around.
Ghana is set to face Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 11, before traveling to Libya for the second leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina on Tuesday, October 14, 2024.
