The hard-tackling defender is reveling in his side's resounding victory against their African minnows in the mundial qualifying games on Friday

Ghana international centre-back Alexander Djiku has expressed his elation over Black Stars 5-0 win against Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The 30-year-old Fenerbahce rearguard, who enjoyed the full throttle of the game for 90 minutes, has been left impressed with his side's resounding victory and he is now looking forward to replicating such efforts when they square off against  Madagascar in Morocco on Monday.

The ex-RC Strasbourg defender took to his micro-blogging platform Instagram to express his joy over the triumphant moment  and has urged his team-mates to shift focus on their must-win duel against the eastern African nation, stating; ''Five guys. Amazing atmosphere. Let’s focus on Monday.''

Goals from Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu and Ernest Nuamah were enough to see off the Les Sao in the fifth round of the mundial qualifiers as Ghana now occupies the summit of the log sheet  in Group l with 12 points.

A win or draw for the Black Stars will see them maintain their top spot in the standings, whiles Madagascar could topple them  with a victory at the end of the contest for the sixth round of the qualifying encounters this month.

The French-born stopper, who currently boasts of 31 caps with the Senior Men's National Team, will be adding to his tally of game appearances for the African powerhouse against the Barea on Monday.
