Former Ghanaian international Prince Tagoe has cautioned the Black Stars to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup which is less than seven months away from now.

The official draw was held last Friday at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC, paving way for what will be another entertaining tournament in USA, Canada and Mexico.

The four-time African champions have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama

Right after the draw, many believe the game against Panama is going to be an easy one with some pundits already charging the Black Stars to at least winning that game at all cost

In a recent interview, Tagoe, who was part of Ghana’s squad for the 2010 World Cup, says qualification should be easy for Ghana but added an advise which he believes it’s the only way the team will excel in USA, Canada and Mexico

“None of the countries are easy to beat at the World Cup. We just have to focus on ourselves and ensure we take it game after game at the tournament. For me, it is easy for us to get five or six points to make it out of our group” he said.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will commence on June 11, 2026.
