Ghana's national football team captain, Andre Dede Ayew, is set to return to the squad for Ghana's World Cup qualifiers in November 2023.
Ayew was notably absent from the squad during the October international break when Ghana faced Mexico and the USA.
According to 3news, the 33-year-old, who is currently a free agent, will be included in the upcoming Black Stars squad for their matches against Madagascar and Comoros.
The report also suggests that Almeria midfielder Iddrisu Baba and Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, who missed the October games, will also be named in the squad. Baba did not make the cut in October due to the manager's decision, while Ashimeru was sidelined due to injury.
Ghana is set to begin the World Cup qualifiers with two matches, facing Madagascar in Kumasi before traveling to Comoros for the second round of qualifiers.
The Black Stars had a challenging outing in October, suffering a 2-0 defeat to Mexico and a 4-0 loss to the USA. Therefore, under the leadership of coach Chris Hughton, the team will be looking to return to winning ways in these upcoming matches.
