Black Stars assistant coach Desmond Ofei has called on Ghanaians to turn up in large numbers for the team’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21.
Speaking ahead of the match, Ofei stressed the importance of home support and reassured fans of the team’s dedication to securing victory.
"I think they should come in their numbers. We are playing in Accra once again. From a technical standpoint, I can assure them that we will give one hundred percent commitment on the day. With their help and support, I’m sure we will make it a very magical evening for us and begin the journey to World Cup qualification," Ofei said.
The assistant coach further emphasized the team’s determination to secure all three points.
"We’ll do everything in our power to win this."
After facing Chad, the Black Stars will travel to Morocco to take on Madagascar on March 24 in another crucial qualifier.
Ghana currently sits joint top of Group I with Comoros, both on nine points, after securing vital wins against Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR). With only the group winner earning automatic qualification for the 2026 World Cup, the upcoming fixtures will be crucial in shaping Ghana’s path to the tournament.
