The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, has emphasized that the challenges hindering sports development in Ghana can be addressed with deliberate and effective leadership.

Speaking as a guest at the JoySports National Dialogue on Thursday, Ampofo Ankrah highlighted the need for action in implementing necessary changes.

“The good news is that we have the brains and the people to make the changes. The challenge has been the willingness to cross that line and to make the changes,” he stated.

Addressing the theme of governance, he revealed that the NSA is committed to following the government's roadmap for sports development.

“There’s a roadmap, and if we follow that roadmap, we will clearly be able to see what we need to do to ensure a clear direction for growth,” he added.
