Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has acknowledged the difficult task ahead as Ghana prepares for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana will host Chad on March 21 before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar three days later in their fifth and sixth group-stage matches.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Ga Mantse, Addo emphasized the importance of the upcoming fixtures and sought the traditional leader’s support and blessings.
“I have come to seek your support and guidance. We have difficult matches ahead of us, and Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the World Cup,” Addo said.
The Black Stars currently sit atop Group I, level on nine points with Comoros, after securing consecutive wins over Mali and the Central African Republic. However, Addo remains under scrutiny, with concerns over his tactical approach persisting among Ghanaian fans.
With expectations high, the upcoming matches could be decisive for Addo’s tenure, as failure to secure positive results may intensify calls for his dismissal.
