The former AIK defender and the Czech Republic elite division outfit are going their separate ways this summer after spending three seasons in the Czech football competitions
Ghana's Patrick Kpozo have parted company with Czech First League club Baník Ostrava ahead of the start of the 2026/27 football season, the club have announced.
The 28-year-old left-back and the Chachaři have agreed to end their marriage on a mutual consent following the request of doing so by the former lnter Allies Football Club defender.
A statement confirming the mutual termination of the Ghana international contract read via the club's official website: ''Patrick Kpozo is leaving Baník after three years. The 28-year-old Ghanaian left-back has agreed to terminate his contract with the club.
''The former Ghana international played a total of 56 league matches for Baník, scoring three goals and providing six assists, and made another ten starts in European cups in the preliminary rounds of the Europa League and the Conference League. However, his workload has decreased this season, and he made his last start in November at Slavia. Therefore, both parties agreed to terminate the contract six months before the end of the contract.

Kpozo would not be short of potential suitors this coming summer given his vast experience in European football competitions after having spells with AIK, Tromsol IL, Östersunds FK and FC Sheriff Tiraspol in his footballing career so far.
He has won 2 international caps for the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars at the senior level on the international stage.
