Ghana's explosive second half performance propelled them to a 4-3 win in an entertaining match-day four fixture in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers earlier this afternoon.

Two hatrickers were produced in the game thus Jordan Ayew and Louis Mafouta who scored for both nations in a stunning seven-goal thriller at the Baba Yara Stadium 

The Black Stars made an explosive start to the game with Abdul Fatawu Issahaku dazzling his way through in the box in the early stages but was brought down for a penalty.

Jordan Ayew stepped up for the spot-kick and sent goalkeeper Dominique Youfeigane the wrong way to hand Ghana the lead after just six minutes.

Five minutes later, Louis Mafouta run through the Ghanaian backline to struck in the bottom corner to level the score to 1-1

In the second half, the Black Stars made an explosive return to the game with Kudus Mohammed and others improving their game tremendously.

 

On the 60th minute, Jordan Ayew scored again with a towering header after from Gideon Mensah's delicious cross from the left.

 

Two minutes later, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku danced his way through enemy territory and sent a hit which took a wicked deflection into the net to put them ahead for the second time in the game. 

 

The Black Stars later established a two-goal cushion in the game after Jordan Ayew struck from close range to complete his hatrick and give Ghana a 4-2 lead.

 

In the dying embers, Louis Mafouta once again scored a spectacular free kick to reduce the deficit as it finished 4-3 after full time.
