Dependable defender Alexander Djiku has finally arrived in the camp of the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic.

The 29-year-old after picking a knock against Galatasaray weeks ago, couldn't feature in Fenerbahce's last game of the season against Istanbulspor.

Just as the GFA Spokesperson Henry Asante Twum indicated, after being assessed by his club doctors, Djiku has been given the medical green light and has finally arrived in the Black Stars camp ahead of the crucial matches coming up and is expected to gain full match fitness and is obvious he will make the starting line up.

The bulky guardsman since switching nationality to play for Ghana for almost three years now, has been very impressive and consistent and only has injuries as reasons he's missed out on some few call ups.

At the moment, all 26 players invited by head coach Otto Addo have arrived including starboy Kudus Mohammed, current captain Thomas Partey, Mohammed Salisu and others, with the full house training together last Saturday at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Ghana are scheduled to travel to Bamako tomorrow, June 4, for the game against Mali and will return to host Central African Republic on June 10, at the Baba Yara Stadium.
