Vision FC have confirmed their promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight league for the first time after a hard-fought home victory over Uncle T FC on Sunday afternoon.

The ‘Ewo Keke’ lads will be playing in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season after emerging winners of the Division One League zone three with a game to spare.

Vision FC needed a victory against Uncle T United FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex to affirm the historic promotion, and they did that in emphatic style, whipping the Prampram-based club 2-1 at home.

Talented winger Gideon Offei Ofori opened the scoring for Vision FC with a powerful header in the 41st minute of the game before visitors leveled on the hour mark with an attempt to dash Vision FC's qualification hopes.

However, substitute Frank Duku snatched the match-winner after brilliantly converting a spot-kick awarded to Vision FC in the 83rd minute to hand them all three maximum points to confirm their promotion to the Ghana Premier League season.

With a game to end the season, Vision FC are leading zone three with 55 points, followed by Hohoe United, who lie second with 51 points after a 2-0 win over Susubribi United FC. Vision FC will travel to the Eastern Region next weekend to end their season with a game against already relegated side Susubribi United FC.

Coach Hamza Obeng and his charges have been outstanding throughout the 2023/24 Division One League campaign, facing stiffer opponents like former Premier League campaigners Okwahu United and clubs like Attram Devisser Soccer Academy, Na God FC, and Hohoe United FC in zone three.

Vision FC will be tasting the Ghana Premier League for the first time in the club's history after almost a decade in the lower-tier division.
