In-form Brandon Thomas-Asante has been handed a late call-up to join the Black Stars ahead of the upcoming games against Central African Republic and Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
He comes in to replace injured Inaki Williams who was unable to last all minutes for Athletic Club in their 2-1 win over the weekend against Real Mallorca in the Spanish La Liga.
Brandon, returns to the senior men national team on a higher note having netted two goals and registered an assist to help his side Coventry City beat Sheffield Wednesday by 0-5 away from home last Saturday in the English Championship.
The 25-year-old has been out of the national team for sometime now but has really started the season on a blistering note with eight-goal involvements (5goals, 3assists) in nine matches.
Brandon Thomas-Asante has already arrived in Meknes, Morocco, to join the Black Stars camp and will begin preparations later today for the crunchy games coming up.
