The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn in Group C of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to be hosted across Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
Ghana have been paired alongside neighbors Cote d'Ivoire, the Gambia and Somalia in the qualification round for the next year's continental football competition.
The four-time African champions will be chasing for a ticket to the next year's edition after missing out on the previous edition in Morocco.
The 2027 AFCON will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with the finals scheduled to take place from June 10 to July 17 next year.
A total of 48 teams have been drawn into 12 groups of four, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the 24-team tournament.
However, the qualification process presents a unique challenge due to the involvement of the three host nations. Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania are guaranteed places at the finals as co-hosts but will still participate in the qualifiers.
According to CAF, the qualifying campaign will be staged across three international windows. Matches are scheduled for September 21 to October 6, November 9 to 17 this year, and March 22 to 30 next year, with each team playing two matches during every window.
