Sepe Timpom win the Ashanti Regional Inter-Zango Community Football Galah for the first time after edging Kantudu by 1-0 in an exciting and crunchy final at the Aboabo Middle B Park last Saturday, June 22.

Both teams had all their arsenals for the game and started on a blistering note and took it at each other but there was no goal produced in the early stages.

As the game serges forward, Sepe Timpom were awarded a penalty after Neymar was played through with a good pass and in an attempt to get into it, he was subsequently brought down by goalkeeper Sammy Onana.

Skipper of the side Akwesi 'Kokoo' famously known as Lampard stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to give Sepe Timpom the lead and netted his fifth in the competition and subsequently clinched the goalking

In the second half, Kantudu bounced back stronger and were looking more explosive than they did in the first phase.

The 2007 champions attacked with so much purpose in the last twenty minutes in search of the leveller and became even worse for Sepe Timpom who succumbed to so much pressure especially after the red card of captain Akwesi Kokoo

In the dying embers, Kantudu strongly appealed for a penalty after a ball looked like had gone off the hand of an opposing player in the box but referee Juliet Appiah boldly disagreed with the shout of the crowd and waved play on. It finished 1-0 after full time.

As promised, the game was graced by lots of dignitaries in the region and the special guest of honor was the Minister for Youth and Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif.
