Young sensation and Aduana Stars forward Gabriel Akwasi Mensah has been included in the Black Satellites 85 provisional squad for the upcoming national assignments at U-20 level.
The invited players were selected from a recent screening exercise that took place at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram where over 150 players were assessed at different times as part of efforts to select the best materials to represent the nation in future International competitions including the WAFU U-20 Cup of Nations slated for Cote D’Ivoire in July this year.
The 16 year old was really sensational throughout the trial period and caught the good eyes of the technical team led by Samuel Boadu.
The lanky forward joined the 'Ogya' outfit prior to the commencement of the ongoing season and has been outstanding with four goals; one in the league and three in the FA Cup in almost 20 outings in all competitions.
Gabriel, will hope to continue with his impressive start at Prampram and prolly establish himself as one of the main stay in the next batch of the Black Satellites
Ghana, Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Burkina Faso, Togo and Cote D’Ivoire will compete in the tournament scheduled for Cote D’Ivoire from July 7 to 21, 2023.
With this, Gabriel Akwasi Mensah will miss Aduana Stars penultimate GPL week 26 tie against Great Olympics at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday.
