Ghana coach Chris Hughton has announced a strong starting line up for the Black Stars' opening game against Cape Verde at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan this evening.
 
The Black Stars are facing Cape Verde in the Group B opener before they lock horns with Egypt and Mozambique in the second and final group games.
Hughton, who is looking forward to secure his maiden win in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament against Cape Verde has unleashed a strong starting line up for the all-important fixture.
 
Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been handed the nod to be in the sticks for the Black Stars.
 
Duo Alexander Djiku and Salisu Mohammed have been paired in the central of the defense with Gideon Mensah and Denis Odoi at the flanks.
 
West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus, who remains unfit for the game with an injury and Inaki Williams of Athletic Bilbao will be starting from the bench.
 
Majeed Ashimeru has earned the starting berth in the midfield with Baba Iddrisu for this evening fixture.
 
Talented winger Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer has earned starting place to make his debut in the Africa Cup of Nations with Antoine Semenyo leading the attack with Jordan Ayew and Joseph Paintsil operating the wings for the team.
