The Ghana U-23 national team have touched down safely in Annaba ahead of the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria on Friday.

The Black Meteors departed Kotoka International Airport to Algeria on Wednesday evening for the first leg tie which will be played at 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba.

Felix Afena-Gyan, who has reportedly rejected an invitation to play for the U23 team is included in the squad list despite his absence in the camp of the Black Meteors
 
The team trained on Wednesday morning ahead of the trip to the North to get them well prepared and gelled for the game.
 
Ghana is hoping to advance to the U23 Championship for the second consecutive year and fight for a place in the next Olympic Games which will be staged in Paris.
 
A win in the double-legged tie will confirm Ghana’s place in the tournament which will be staged from 24 June and 8 July 2023.
