Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu fulfilled his dare, having shaved all his hair live on TV after the Black Stars painful exit from the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 31 year old featured for the senior national team for over five years and was an integral member of the 2014 World Cup squad and also the 2015 team that finished second at the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea.
The combative midfielder, who is currently with Ghanaian topflight side Great Olympics, is now a World Cup pundit with local television station- TV3.
However, prior to the commencement of the World Cup, the ex- Udinese Calcio middleman was very confident of the Black Stars qualifying from the group and added he will have all his hair shaved if they unable to cruise from the first phase.
"I’m not too sure that this team will go down that they cannot qualify from the group. If it doesn’t happen I will shave all my hair.”
“I can bet everything this team will qualify from the group. If Ghana doesn’t qualify from the group stage, I will shave it here. I am so optimistic about this team.”
But Ghana lost 2-0 to Uruguay last Friday in their final group game at the Al Janoub Stadium to confirm to their eviction from the Mundial and Agyemang Badu accomplished his promise and had all his cleared, worse luck.
The Black Stars are expected to touch down in the country by the close of today.
