Alidu Seidu was really impressive for the Black Stars at the 2022 World Cup and even deemed us one of our best performers in the competition by most Ghanaian football faithfuls.
However, after lasting the entire duration in defeat Uruguay to confirm their exit last Friday, the Clermont Foot defender has expressed disappointment and also feels very elated to represent his country.
Ghana for the second time in the history of the Mundial had to be kicked out in the group stage, having lost two and won just one against South Korea- who subsequently advanced into the next stage.
The 22 year old made two appearances out of the three matches played, including the last game despite facing a tougher competition from Brighton's Tariq Lamptey.
Reacting to their exit, the versatile defender first admitted they couldn't impress Ghanaians but expressed gratitude to them for their inflicting support to him and the team entirely throughout the three matches. He wrote on Twitter;
"I want to give glory to Allah for allowing me to represent the colors of one of the greatest Gift football has given me. Sad the goal was not achieved but alhamdulillah. Thanks to everyone who supported me and the team."
He is expected to return to the Stade Gabriel Montpied very soon to begin preparations towards the second phase of the 2022/23 season.
