Alhaji Akambi- Hearts of Oak board member, has disregarded claims that, he was part of the people that sabotaged Samuel Boadu during his last days at the club and even had a hand in his sacking.

The young tactician joined the 'Phobians' two seasons ago from Medeama SC and won them series of laurels including the GPL but got jettisoned early this season after failing to secure a win in his first four competitive matches.

Fast-forward, Serbian gaffer Slavko Matic was named as his successor and is still in charge of the club as at now.

However, the sacking of Samuel Boadu sparked rage with many a Hearts of Oak faithful, accusing the long serving board member of having a hand in that but has debunked that in his latest interview on Original FM in Accra;

"I don’t have any idea about the sacking of Coach Samuel Boadu. It's never true that I Alhaji Brimah Moro Akambi is the one who sacked Samuel Boadu at Accra Hearts of Oak."

"Coach Matic decided he can't work with Daniel Kordie, Richard Attah, Fatawu Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan, and Junior Kaba due to his observation it's not the Accra Hearts of oak Board that takes such decisions."

Hearts of Oak humbled Berekum Chelsea 3-1 over the weekend and finished 2nd on the league log with 28 points after the first round, trailing leaders Aduana Stars with four.

They will host Aduana Stars to the capital this Sunday, February 19, 2023.
