Experienced Ghanaian football administrator, Alhaji Raji is rallying support for the Black Stars ahead of the restart of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March.

Ghana failed to qualify for the Afcon 2025 slated to come off later this year. The Black Stars failed to win a single game in the Afcon qualifiers, marking West African powerhouse' absence from the tournament since 2004.

Otto Addo has come under intense pressure following the Black Stars failed 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

While views are widely divided over the teams chances as the 2026 World Cup qualifiers is set to resume in March, Alhaji Raji has championed support for the team.

“Let’s all come together and rally behind the Black Stars despite whatever has happened in the past,” he told Asempa FM.

“We have World Cup qualifiers to play, and we will only be able to qualify when we come together, and it must start from Kurt Okraku.”

“Qualifying for the World Cup is a big task, but it is a doable task. Kurt Okraku must initiate the process to bring everyone together for that course of qualifying for the World Cup,” he added.

With the World Cup qualifiers set to resume in March, the Black Stars are second in Group I with nine points - Ghana will take on Chad and Madagascar.
