Ameenu Shadow- Black Stars team manager, still believes the Ghana senior men national team haven't been doing well since the exit of former coach Otto Addo.
The Borussia Dortmund trainer took over the Black Stars after a disastrous AFCON campaign to hugely qualify them to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
At the Mundial in Qatar, Otto Addo guided the team to the competition but suffered a group stage elimination with just three points from a possible nine.
He left after the tourney and was subsequently replaced with former Newcastle United and Brighton manager Chris Hughton.
On 3 FM's Sports Ultras, Ameenu Shadow stated that, the national team would have improved massively if Otto Addo had stayed and is very optimistic he would have learnt a lot to become very experienced by now.
"We would have been better if Otto Addo stayed as Black Stars coach. I have always said it that Otto Addo made mistakes at the World Cup because he hadn’t been there before."
“Otto Addo is someone who learns on the job and Ghana would have been better if he had continued with his job as Black Stars head coach”, he concluded
Ghana are unbeaten in their last three matches with a win and two draws, and are yet to comfirm their qualification to the 2023 AFCON.
