The battle of the security services was on earlier this mid-afternoon at the University of Ghana Stadium where Army Ladies narrowly defeated Police Ladies by 1-0 to emerge winners of the 2023/24 Ghana Women's FA Cup.

Both teams started on a higher note right from onset and mounted so much pressure on each other in search for an early goal but also they all looked resolute at the back.

Despite series of goal attempts made by the two teams, the game saw no goal as it finished goalless at half time.

Back from recess, Army Ladies snatched the lead in just four minutes from the break courtesy Deborah Opoku who tapped from a close range after a huge clanger from the Police goalie.

Police Ladies despite going down didn't give up soon and took the game at the Greens and fired from all cylinders but all their efforts couldn't count.

However, goalscorer Deborah Opoku was subsequently giving the matching orders by referee Rejoice Addokwei leaving Army Ladies to finish the last twenty minutes with a numerical disadvantage.

It ended 1-0 for Army Ladies after full time who have finally won their first ever Women's FA Cup title.
