Hasaacas Ladies have finally ended Ampem Darkoa Ladies two-year dominance having beaten them 2-1 to lift the 2023/24 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League

The 'Hasmal Ladies' opened the scoring account in just eleven minutes from kickoff through Veronica Baah Kumah who scored with a thunderbolt of a strike just at the edge of the box.

Just three minutes later, Black Queens striker Abdulai Mukarama connected with a brave header from Firdaus Yakubu's cross from the left.

In the second half, Ampem Darkoa Ladies returned on a beast note and exerted so much pressure on their opponents in a quest to getting back on level terms.

On the 73rd minute, Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah found the back of the net to pull one back making a fightback very possible for the holders as it finished 2-1 after full time.

The Greens after the two-year abeyance will return to the WAFU Zone B qualifiers where they will hope to fight hard to book a spot in the Champions League.

Hasaacas Ladies are the first Ghanaian club to play in the CAF Women's Champions League in the maiden edition in 2021- where they made it all the way to the final with a stunning performance but unfortunately lost the title to current holders Sundowns Ladies.
