Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan has disclosed that he turned down a coaching role offered by the Ghana Football Association to serve as an assistant to Otto Addo in his second coming.

Speaking on Asempa FM's Ultimate Sports Show on Wednesday, Gyan, who holds a UEFA Licence B coaching qualification, revealed his decision, citing timing as a key factor in his choice.

While expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Gyan explained that he felt the timing wasn't optimal to accept the coaching position.

However, he emphasized that he remains open to potential coaching opportunities with the national team in the future.

"The timing was wrong, but let us see what happens in the future," Gyan stated during the interview, underscoring the varying strategies individuals adopt when faced with such opportunities.
