Legendary striker Asamoah Gyan believes Ghana have gotten used to the World Cup now and hopes to see them grab their fifth qualification to the Mundial

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers — the African version was held earlier today in Abidjan and Gyan was part of the lrvendsy that conducted the draw.

 
Gyan- who still remains Africa's highest top scorer at the World Cup with 6 goals, in an interview at the draw said;
 
"Since 2006 when we qualified for the World Cup for the first time, we have been very consistent except in 2018."
 
"2026 won't be easy but we will try our best to qualify", he concluded 
 
Ghana have been put in Group I of the qualifiers alongside five other nations which include Mali, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Comoros and Chad.
 
Winners of each Group will automatically qualify for the FIFA World Cup™ 2026. 
 
The four best runners-up (from the Groups) will play in a CAF Play-Off tournament. The winner of the CAF Play-Off Tournament will play in the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
 
The qualifiers are scheduled to start in November this year, with Match Day One and Two scheduled for between 13-21 November, while the third and fourth match days are scheduled for June 2024.
 
The last match day will be in the week of October 6-14 while the Continental play-off will be staged between 10-18 November 2025 at a venue to be communicated later.
