Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum remains optimistic that the club can still secure the Ghana Premier League title, despite their recent dip in form.
The Porcupine Warriors have struggled in recent matches, suffering back-to-back defeats to Legon Cities and Heart of Lions at home. These setbacks have seen the club drop from second to third place in the standings with 15 points, four points behind the leaders, leading to growing frustration among the fans.
However, Ogum remains positive about the team's title chances. "It doesn’t mean that it’s over. We still have so many games. The way they have supported us from the beginning, they should keep supporting us that way. They should still have confidence and belief in us," Ogum said.
He urged the fans to maintain their faith in the team, emphasizing that Kotoko is still capable of winning games and the championship. "They should still have respect for the team, knowing the team is capable of winning games and the championship. We are very happy with their support. We understand their emotions because they think the team is very good."
Asante Kotoko will look to bounce back when they play away to Bechem United in round 10 of the league.
