The Porcupine Warriors have unilaterally terminated their contract with the former Unistar Academy attacker ahead of the 2022/23 season's campaign.

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko on Tuesday announced the club's decision to part ways with Francis Andy Kumi after seventeen (17) months.

 
Andy Kumi was signed from second-tier outfit Unistar Soccer Academy on a four-and-half year deal in March 2021.
 
He move to the Kumasi-based Premier League side in the middle of the 2020/21 football campaign and started on a higher note but went off in the course in what is described as poor output, having battled injuries too at some point.
 
Kickgh.com has reliably been told that the player and his representative, ArthurLegacy Sports Management are demanding salary arrears and compensation of over Gh¢ 12,000 after the unilateral contract termination by Asante Kotoko.
 
Andy Kumi, 23, was included in the Black Stars provisional man squad for 2021 AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome but was subsequently dropped from the final list.
 
He has been linked with an immediate switch to fellow Premiership side Bechem United for the 2022/23 season
