Assistant coach of Hearts of Oak Mohammed Hamza Obeng has advised the club's board and management to plan well ahead of the new domestic league season and their participation in the CAF inter-club competition. 

The Rainbow lads had a sloppy league season as they lost the Ghana Premier League title to sworn-rivals Asante Kotoko, however, Samuel Boadu's side kaput Bechem United to win their 12th MTN FA Cup title.

 

Obeng claims the club struggled in the CAF Conferderations Cup due to instability in their preparation as they weren't able to make it into the group stage with frustrating defeats to Algerian side JS Saoura and future African champions Wydad Athletic Club.

 

"Last season, we did not get enough preparations for Africa," the young tactical brainy stated in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

 

"So going into the Confederation Cup campaign, this time, with the experience we had last season  the board and management of Hearts need to plan well, if possible travel outside the shores of Ghana and play some high profile matches - for the playing body to get that much needed exposure.

 

"We know for sure that playing in Ghana, definitely we must win with a huge margin and make the second leg a mere formality."
