Former Ghanaian international, Augustine Arhinful, has offered his perspective on the underwhelming performances of the Black Stars under the guidance of Coach Chris Hughton.
Following the team's defeat to Mexico in an international friendly at the Bank of America Stadium, Arhinful, like many other Ghanaian pundits and fans, has expressed dissatisfaction with the Black Stars' recent performances, despite notable victories.
Arhinful emphasized the need for Coach Hughton and his technical staff to take action and address the situation, expressing his concerns, "When Chris Hughton got the job, we were all excited because he had been with the team for a while. Continuity was good, but now I am getting a bit disappointed with how things have gone."
The urgency of the situation was highlighted, especially with the Africa Cup of Nations approaching in just two months.
Arhinful emphasized the challenge of limited time for preparation, saying, "We will not have much time to prepare the team. So you have the players for a minimum of 10 to 14 days to get ready. If he doesn't have the time to put things together now, we will find ourselves in a difficult situation," Arhinful added.
