Ex-Ghana international, Augustine Arhinful believes that Chris Hughton is aware of the impediments in the Black Stars, as he insists that he will he able to handle it.

Otto Addo stepped-down from his duties as the leader of the Black Stars technical team after Ghana's exit at the 2022 World Cup group stage.

Chris Hughton was appointed as the new Black Stars head coach to fill the void left after Otto Addo's exit.

Otto Addo's assistants, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and George Boateng have been maintained in their position.

Chris Hughton now takes full charge of the Ghanaian national team after serving as the Black Stars technical advisor for year until his latest appointment.

Augustine Arhinful expects Chris Hughton to deal with possible challenges in the Black Stars after being with the team for a-year.

"If we needed to appoint somebody to lead the national team, it was him," he told Citi Sports.

"He has been with the team for some time and I'm sure as a former footballer who has now become a coach, coached at the highest level in the Premiership, he will be able to handle the team.

"If there are any impediments in his way, he will know by now. It is high time we allow him to do his own thing because his job is based on technical abilities of the game. The administrative staff should also concentrate on administrative issues," he urged.
