Ghana's all time top scorer, Asamoah Gyan has asked Ghanaians to continue having confidence in Inaki Williams as he believes the Spanish-based forward will find his goal-scoring rhythm very soon.

The 28 year old after a disappointing World Cup campaign, still had faith kept in him and was included in Chris Hughton's starting line up against Angola yesterday but once again he wasn't at his best.

He was subsequently taken off for Antoine Semenyo to come on the and eventually got Ghana the goal to claim all three points for Ghana to widen the gap in Group E of the ongoing 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

Having gone without a goal in over five matches for the Black Stars, legend Asamoah Gyan believes he is still looking to acclimatize to the African game and will be very explosive if he settles and pleaded with Ghanaians to have more patience with him.

"It's very difficult to adjust to the African game, he has played in Europe all his life", Gyan told Akoma FM in Kumasi.

"We need to give him more opportunities, he is improving even though he hasn't found his feet yet but I'm sure his first goal will open the flood gates and many more will follow. His first goal will boost his confidence level. Let's keep supporting him."

Inaki Williams will hope for another opportunity to finally net his debut goal for the four time African champions when they travel to face Angola in the reverse fixture on Monday, March 27, 2023.
