Bechem United have emerged champions of the 2024 GHALCA Top 4 tournament after defeating Nations FC earlier this afternoon by 2-0 to wrap up the competition at the new TnA Stadium
The competition was played within a week in an all-play-all format where all teams clashed with each other in three round of matches.
The Hunters recorded a perfect record in the competition having won all three matches starting it with a vital and narrow 1-0 win over Medeama SC in their first game.
They topped up with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Eleven Wise before climaxing it with another precious 2-0 triumph over Nations FC to secure all nine points to become the champions.
Medeama SC clinched the second position with six points whiles Nations FC came third with only three points. Western Regional division two champions Sekondi Eleven Wise lost all games and finished at the bottom of the table.
This competition will serves as a proper pre-season tourney for these clubs to prepare and test their strengths and also identify the loopholes in their squad, patch up all cracks before the new season starts.
