Benab Ajax FC are the 2022 Ashanti Regional Juvenile under 17 champions after humbling Kumasi Barcelona Babies by 2-0 in the final last Thursday, 23rd June 2022 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Both teams were really amazing and exhibited why they are currently the best at colts level, having defied all odds to conquer their various zones to cruise into this stage.
Benab Ajax defeated Brenya FC 2-0 in the semi final whiles Barcelona Babies also went pass Home Boyz FC with a penalty shootouts victory to get to the same stage.
It was really a crunchy clash in the final with some quality level of football displayed but first half goals from Yaw Agyemang and Kelvin Adade propelled Benab Ajax to victory and became the champions of the region.
The two sides will represent Ashanti Region in the second edition of the KGL U-17 Champions League which will be held in the capital, Accra later this year.
