The Spain-based centre-back has been ruled out of the Black Stars' 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar due to injury.
Ghana has been handed a major blow ahead of the crucial fixture on Wednesday after Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo sustained a fresh injury in training.
According to the Ghana Football Association official statement on Monday evening, the 26-year-old guardsman twisted his right ankle during training and has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against Madagascar.
Aidoo who missed Monday's training session at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, is currently being assessed by the medical team of the Black Stars as he undergoes a thorough rehabilitation process to recovery fully for the match-day two against Central African Republic on June 5.
Ghana will play Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports on June 1.
