Black Maidens head coach Nana Joe Adarkwa has named his final 21-player squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be staged in Morocco.

Jessica Appiah’s return provides a boost for Ghana ahead of the tournament, while three players promoted from the U-15 side — Christiana Ashiaku, Mavis Koah and Belinda Kpentey — have also earned places in the squad.

Goalkeepers Belinda Maku Aklie, Rahima A. Napari and Josephine Nyanufule have been selected, while the defensive options include Matilda A. B. Amoah, Hajara Adam, Latifa Musah, Rafia Osman, Juliana Gyekyewaa and Seraphina E. Esse, alongside Koah.

In midfield, Adarkwa will rely on Belinda Kpentey, Christiana Ashiaku, Benedicta D. Nkietah, Seidatu Wahab, Zeinab Shani and Sekinatu Amadu to provide support and creativity.

Priscilla Mensah, Linda Achiaa, Jessica A. Asamoah, Cynthia Obinsrewuo and Gloria A. Adomako make up the forward line as Ghana prepare for the global competition.

The Black Maidens have been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Canada and Norway. They will begin their campaign against Norway on October 18 as they seek a strong start to their World Cup journey.

They have already engaged in two warm up friendlies, where they lost 3-0 to China and also overturned a goal deficit to beat Kenya by 2-1.
