The Black Queens have climbed five places in the latest FIFA women’s rankings, reflecting their impressive performances over the past few months.

Ghana, who were previously 67th in the world, now occupy 62nd place. The surge also strengthens their position on the continent, where they sit third behind Nigeria and South Africa.

The rise follows a dominant 7-0 aggregate victory over Egypt to secure qualification for the 2026 WAFCON, with their only recent setback coming in a friendly defeat to fourth-ranked England earlier this month.

The Queens now turn their attention to preparations for the continental championship, which will take place from 17 March to 3 April 2026 in Morocco.
