The senior women national team of Ghana, Black Queens, are set to partake in the Pink Ladies Cup tournament alongside three other nations in the United Arab Emirates later this month.

The tourney will be part of Ghana’s preparations towards the upcoming women Africa Cup of Nations and will have the opportunity to play against countries from three different continents.

Confirmed by Ghana FA Spokesperson Henry Asante Twum, Kim Lars Bjorkegren and his girls will come up against Russia, Hong Kong and Tanzania, and getting the opportunity to play such opponents will help identify the strength and weaknesses of the team even before they head into the WAFCON

They are expected to regroup very soon for the first time since December with the Pink Cup scheduled to take place between February 28 and March 6, 2026.

The Black Queens will battle for a World Cup place through the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be held in South Africa next month and are in Group D alongside Cameroon, Cape Verde and Mali.

The top two teams in each group will move to the knockout stage, while the four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the World Cup, which will be hosted in Brazil.
