The Ghana men U-20 national team tested their strength on Tuesday afternoon at the Ohene Gyan Stadium where they steadily rose from a goal down to edge West African Football Academy 3-1 in a preparatory friendly. 

 

The game was really an entertaining one with the two sides full of exciting youngsters who both exhibited some quality display of football to thrill the present fans.

The Academy Boys opened the scoring account and looked like holding onto their lead heading into the break.
 
But an equaliser from captain Ofori McCarthy in the dying embers of the first half levelled up the score before recess.
 
In the second half, it was another balance encounter with the national side slightly ahead. Jerry Afriyie scored few moments after to put the Black Satellites ahead for the first time in the game. 
 
Bechem United's Clinton Duodu added up the third to seal the win for Samuel Boadu's men who are currently preparing for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship to be staged in Cote D'Ivoire next month.
 
Ghana is housed in Group A alongside the host country, Burkina Faso and Niger.
