The Ghana U-17 men’s national team have lined up a double-header of preparatory friendlies as they intensify preparations ahead of the CAF U-17 AFCON tournament which will be held in Morocco.

The Black Starlets are scheduled to take on first division sides Port City FC at 8am and Koforidua Semper Fi FC at 10am on the morning of Wednesday, February 18, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

In earlier preparatory friendlies, the two-time world champions set up very well by edging Na God FC 3-2 in a tightly contested encounter before recording another thrilling 4-3 victory over True Democracy FC

The games were so competitive just as expected as it provided the needed competition to help coach Prosper Narteh Ogum identify the strengths and weaknesses of his team before the main tournament commences.

The Black Starlets qualified for the continental showpiece after finishing second in the last WAFU Zone-B U-17 tournament, where they suffered a heartbreak loss in the final to hosts Ivory Coast on penalties following a pulsating 0-0 draw in regulation time back in October last year.
