The Ghana football community is mourning the death of former Accra Hearts of Oak administrator Jonas Oko.
The news of his passing broke on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and spread quickly on social media, prompting tributes from fans, club officials and followers of the local game.
Information about the cause of his death have not yet been made public.
Jonas Oko served Hearts of Oak in several administrative roles during his time at the club. He worked across different areas of the club’s operations and was known for his dedication to the Phobian family.
Supporters of Hearts of Oak have since expressed deep sadness, describing his death as a major loss to the club and its history.
