The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed an appeal from George Afriyie in regards to his disqualification from the 2023 Ghana FA Presidential elections.
Earlier this month, the election committee of GFA announced its decision to disqualify the director of Susubiribi SC from the presidential elections for breaching Article 13(2) of the Ghana Football Association statues and also failure to submit the required number of persons to endorse his candidature.
He appealed to the decision from the GFA elections committee which was described as shocking by him, however the appeal has been thrown out by the appeals committee.
The decision means incumbent Kurt Okraku will go unopposed in the 2023 Ghana Football Association Presidential elections.
