Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have finally agreed to return to competitive football and that will be after the final funeral rite of their staunch supporter 'Nana Pooley' who sadly passed on weeks ago.

After he was stabbed by an unknown person in Nsoatre during GPL week 19 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, the Porcupine Warriors withdrew from all football related activities and added they will only return when justice is served.

The Ghana FA in the past few weeks have met with the leadership of Asante Kotoko with GFA President also flying down to Kumasi last week to ensure they will do everything to meet their demands.

In a press conference held at the Baba Yara Stadium just this morning, club Spokesperson, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq. announced the 'Kum Apem' lads are coming back to compete again and that will be after they had been given a perfect sendwell to their warrior on March 6.

"I would like to declare that, based on the happenings, Asante Kotoko shall be ready for action after the burial and final funeral rite of the late Nana Pooley."

Asante Kotoko had their MTN FA Cup round of 16 game against Sekondi Eleven Wise postponed after they opted out and will definitely be fixed to a different date.
