The Black Stars have been in Group L for the next year’s FIFA World Cup 

Ghana will better battling it out with England, Croatia and Panama in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after the much-awaited draw for the tournament was held at J.F Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, USA.

Ghana is making its fifth appearance at the global showpiece and the team is hoping to make a meaningful impact in the tournament slated to be hosted in USA, Canada and Mexico.

England is a one-time FIFA World Cup champions while Croatia have had an incredible campaign at the World Cup, having made it to the final in 2018 and finishing with a silver medal and ending the last season in 2022 with a bronze medal.

The draw which was held in the United States capital saw great speeches from FIFA president Gianni Infantino and US President Donald Trump, where the latter received the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize Award. 

Supermodel Heidi Klum, comedian Kevin Hart and actor and producer Danny Ramirez co-hosted the draw which was conducted by former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand.

Ferdinand was joined by joined by broadcaster Samantha Johnson and a host of sporting greats, including Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Aaron Judge and Shaquille O'Neal for the draw.

Ghana will face England in the opening fixture of Group L.
