The much anticipated inaugural Democracy Cup match between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko has been rescheduled to a new date.
The game was initially to be played on Friday, July 5, at the Accra Sports Stadium but it has been moved to July 17, 2024 due to unreadiness on the path of the two sides
The Democracy Cup game, under the theme "30 Years of Parliamentary Democracy Under the 4th Republic: The Journey Thus Far," is being organized by the Parliament of Ghana to as they seek to use football as a vehicle for engaging citizens and encouraging wider participation in the legislative process.
The winner of the game will face American side, DC United in Washington.
