As confirmed to you earlier, new date and pairings for the 2023 Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges boys soccer championship qualifiers has been announced with some interesting games coming up.
The preliminary round of this year's competition was scheduled to start on Monday, June 26 but has been shifted due to reasons beyond their control, as stated in their release.
The qualifiers comprises of 32 groups with at most and least four and three teams in any of the groups and the winners at the end will qualify for the main competition which is likely to be held at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The qualifiers will now commence on June 29 and is expected to run to July 4, with a new group stages draw held.
The last time the competition was played, it was Kumasi High School who emerged as champions after a 2-0 win over Adu Gyamfi SHS in the final.
The recent which was played last year also saw T.I Ahmadiyyah SHS, Kumasi and Opoku Ware SHS clashed in the final but the competition couldn't end as it was subsequently declared null and void.
