The former Ghana international feels the addition of new crop of players into the national football team setup at this juncture is a misplaced priority on the part of the under siege manager, with the quadrennial football event fast approaching in the North American nations
Ex-Black Stars striker Augustine Arhinful has questioned the rationale behind the invitation of new players into the senior national team squad by under-fire coach Otto Addo over his Pre-World Cup friendlies this month.
The former Grasshopper Club attacker is convinced that the introduction of fresh faces into the setup of the four-time African champions is a major factor that led to the 5-1 drubbing of the Black Stars at the hands of the Austrian national football team in yesterday's friendly encounter at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, Austria.
Speaking in an interview, the outspoken retired forward told 3Sports: ''He (Otto Addo) has called so many new players into the team, and l think it's not right. We are about to go to the World Cup, you must know what you're looking for.''
Ghana will now be heading to the MHPArena in Stuttgart to face Germany for their second friendly game on March 30, 2026.
