The under-fire manager has hinted that the 20-year-old forward could be part of his troops to make the final roster for the upcoming global football event in the North American nations

Under siege Ghana head coach Otto Addo has said that Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo remains an option for selection into his final 26-man squad ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico in June this year.

After seeing his side being disfigured by the Austria national football team in a 5-1 drubbing scoreline in yesterday's friendly game encounter, the German-trained tactician would now be compelled to revise his notes over his team's selections for the quadrennial football event.

Speaking in a post-Austria game press conference, the Dortmund talent nurturing gaffer said when asked about his omission of the 20-year-old striker from his 26-man squad for this month's friendlies against Austria and Germany as quoted by the Ghanafa.org: ''He ( Edmund Baidoo) is a player who is clearly on my mind, and he is an option for the future.''

Baidoo, currently on the books of Austrian Bundesliga outfit RB Salzburg, has so far taken in 39 appearances by scoring 7 and setting up another 5 for the Red Bull Arena outfit across all competitions in this ongoing football season.

His high-flying performances has caught the attention of many suitors across Europe, with German Bundesliga titans Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen all eyeing for his services ahead of the summer transfer window.
